The grade 3 students are very excited to be working with the puppets. They have had a chance to pick group members, and explore the available puppets. Students are welcome to bring puppets from home. Please ensure that any puppets brought from home are labelled with your child's name or stored in a ziploc bag with your child's name on it. Students have been told that any props from home are to only be brought out during French classes.
For the next 2 weeks, the grade 3 students will be using storyboards to brainstorm a storyline for their puppet skits.

The grade 2 students are working on a mini-book called "En été, je porte..." (In summer, I wear...). This petit livre is related to the types of clothing we wear in the summer, and also gives the students a chance to practice the colours in French.
The grade 1 students have finished recording themselves speaking French and have uploaded their videos to IRIS. Please ask your child to show you their video. Although students may mispronounce words, substitute the incorrect word or make up a new word, I can see a lot of interest, enthusiam, learning and progress in these videos. Learni
ng a new language sta rts the same way your child learned to speak in English. The grade 1 students will continue to learn more animal names in the last month of school along with reviewing everything they have learned in French this past school year. Whenever they come to class, the students often request to sing a certain song, play a favourite game, or do a special activity. I am so proud of their spirit and enthusiasm.
