Grade 1 students continue to practice counting to 10. We are becoming more familiar with the numbers 11-20.
Student assessments have started. Each student is asked to say hello in French (bonjour), introduce themselves (je m'appelle ....) and count in French to whatever number they feel comfortable with. We have also started to learn the body parts by singing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Feet in French. Would you believe that Tonton still needs some singing lessons?

Grade 2 students have taken longer than expected to complete their petit-livre. We have decided to put these aside for now and focus on Halloween, and review numbers and body parts. By the end of grade 2, students are expected to count to 59 in French. Counting assessments will start in a couple of weeks.
Grade 3 students have begun assessments. Each students has been asked to say/sing the French alphabet. The next goal is to be able to say the letters out of sequence, or choose the correct letter out of sequence. We are also reviewing numbers and counting up to 69 in French.
